Dan contacted me months ago about being his proposal/ engagement photographer. He wanted to propose to his girlfriend, Keri, in the mountains of Western North Carolina outside of Asheville.

He had thought about doing it at the beach but said “It just wouldn’t be right.” It had to be the mountains.

They drove all the way across the state for a morning at Craggy Pinnacle. He did an amazing job keeping it a secret. She was so surprised!

For the whole week beforehand the weather forecasting websites insisted that it was going to be storming all day. As Dan and I created a back up plan he said “oh she’s very outdoorsy. She’d definitely be down to take a hike in the rain.” Luckily, the weather predictions were extremely wrong and we had gorgeous, sunny, warm weather all day long.

Playful and laid back, Dan and Keri celebrated their engagement by telling everyone they saw as we took engagement photos around the trail before they headed back to Asheville for some breakfast then East for a concert in the evening. Congratulations, Dan and Keri! It was so great meeting you. Thank you for the honor of including me on this special day!
