What is the process for Tallahassee In-Home Newborn Photography?
As part of your session preparation, you’ll send me some images of the inside of your home where you’re considering having things photographed. Lighting is key to taking beautiful in-home photos. This means that we may need to move some things around to make sure we have the light where we need it.
If you would like to include hair and makeup, I will arrange to have the hair and makeup artist arrive about an hour before I do. While you’re finishing up, I’ll begin wrapping your newborn and taking some “just baby” photos. I will bring our pre-discussed wardrobe options for you and your family to change into.
After I’ve completed the baby’s photos, we’ll take photos of the whole family and siblings. From there the kids can resume their normal routine and we’ll finish up with mom and dad!
Because I follow the baby’s cues and use a “baby-led” approach to posing newborns, sessions are typically between 45 to 90 minutes long. The absolute number 1 most important thing you can do to help the session go smoothly is giving the baby a good feed before I arrive. This helps keep the infant content and sleepy for the duration of the session.
As for the rest of it, your job is simply to relax and enjoy the process!
