When do you find out the gender? What will you name the baby? What color will you paint the nursery? What kind of carseat do you need? What kind of bassinet? Where do you put the bassinet? The list goes on and on. and on. and on. I know you’ve put immense care and thought into every decision from what swaddles to buy and what stroller to get. And I know you want to put just as much care and consideration into how you’ll preserve the fast flying memories of your babies first days. The first couple days and weeks (and lets be real, sometimes months) of having a baby can be such a blur. There’s a lot that goes into the planning of a newborn session. When you come to my studio I take care of ALL of it for you. Seriously. All of it.

You want hair and makeup? I’ll arrange that. You don’t know what to wear? I’ve got dresses here for you. And shirts for your husband. AND cute outfits for your kids. I’ve got swaddles and headbands for the baby. I’ve got a couch for you to chill on. You can just show up and know everything is taken care of. No need to tidy your house or have furniture moved around or figure out what room has the best lighting. Just leave it all behind.

Newborn Photos are important to get right. Its kind of like wedding photography in the sense that you don’t really get a re-do. When you look at my portfolio you can know that your photos will look like what you see! The light, the textures, the windows, the colors. That’s what you’ll have. Theres misconceptions out there (thanks instagram filters) that you can just edit a photo to look however you want it to. But a lot more goes into creating a style than just the editing. A lot of parents tell me their trip to my studio was their first outing with their baby. Some are intimidated, some are excited. But all really enjoy their experience. Couples sit on the couch and enjoy some coffee and talk about the birth and the baby’s hair and all the funny little foibles they’ve already found themselves in.
