This month I had the joy of taking some Biltmore Family Photos for blogger, Well Traveled Child!

I am always excited to take photos for families at the Biltmore because it has some of the most beautiful locations in town. My favorite spot is right here in the mountains. The view is breathtaking and the sun sets right beyond the mountains. If you’re wanting Biltmore Family Photos, this is the spot to be.

Since the weather has been nice, I’ve been enjoying taking my own kids to Biltmore multiple times a week. We go on walks through the gardens, we go on biking trails, we visit the farm and the playground. They also have a train display set up in Antler Village that literally has my daughter squealing for joy.

How to take Biltmore Family Photos

1. To take photos at Biltmore, you’ll need at least a Grounds and Gardens Pass.
2. We’ll coordinate clothing together. Either you can borrow clothing from my studio wardrobe or I can help you pick out clothing for you family. Clothing can make or break photos.
3. An hour before sunset our session will begin. Lighting is another thing that is paramount to getting great photos. Here is a great resource on when we should take family photos.
4. The best advice I have for your session is to have little treats and snacks prepared and to relax and enjoy your kids. Kids (like all of us) feed off of energy- so as much “I like this. I like you. This is fun and relaxing” energy we can have, the better.
5. I offer both only digitals and heirloom sessions. So depending on which you chose upon booking, after I finish editing and receive any film scans back from the lab, you’ll either receive your digital gallery or we’ll begin planning your heirlooms together.

3. I want your photos to reflect love and connection.
4. I want your photos to remind you of all the sweet joys of having littles.

This is why we pick the best locations, lighting, outfits. This is why we bring treats. This is why we play. Because this investment will pay huge dividends when they’re all of a sudden as tall as you are.
