Mima has turned 2 and is becoming less baby and more little girl so fast I think she might be a little girl now.
She’s definitely a toddler. With all the ups and downs. With really sweet days of giggling stealing the ball from our dog and saying “Thank you, Po Po!” to him. And wild days when she doesn’t want oatmeal but does want oatmeal and wants mangos in the oatmeal without the oatmeal. And usually days contain a good deal of both.
She loves her dolls and stuffed animals. She tucks them in with a blanket and a paci, she turns on her sound machine and shuts the door so they can nap. She also still loves pushing strollers.
One of her favorite things in the world right now is swinging. She says “Up to the moon!” (Thanks, April, for adding this cute saying to our lives) Sometimes hours after we’ve put her to bed at night we’ll hear her singing to herself “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” or saying “Up to the moon!”
She loves Peppa Pig.
She’s starting to enjoy the words I read in the books not just the pictures and pointing out objects and animals she knows. One of our most read books is called “Gossie and Gertie” She’s starting to be able to recite it. Gossie and Gertie is about Gosslings who wear rainboots. I don’t know what came first the chicken or the egg, but not a day goes by where Mima doesn’t want to wear her rainboots. I think people can see the pride in her eyes when she’s wearing them. We get comments all the time from strangers out in public “She loves those boots!” They have no idea. Sometimes she wears them with her footie pajamas.
She pronounces Pepperoni “papa-honey” which is the cutest thing ever. She also thinks any round meat is a pepperoni. And has also mistaken bacon for pepperoni.
She likes hot sauce. At first I thought she was just wanting it on her food because Dan was putting it on his food. But she’s started asking for it all the time!
When she’s really upset about something she says “I’m sorry” because that’s what we say to her when she’s crying.
She loves coloring and constantly requests us to “Draw heart”. Her own hearts are starting to look sort of heart-ish.
She loves to jump. She loves to jump even more if I sing “Bouncy Bouncy Like a Ball” Again, not sure if this is a chicken or an egg but Peppa Pig is also big on jumping.
Oh my goodness – precious story and pictures:
She is just so dang cute and she has those “Sullivan Eyes” without a doubt.
So excited for you to be preparing for ye
t another cuter than ever brother or sister!!! Mima better continue loving to push the stroller 🙂 It will probably come in handy!
