I’m so excited about this newborn session. Its the first session in my new Asheville Newborn Photography Studio upstairs Louise’s Kitchen. You won’t believe it by the photo on the right, but Easton was not into sleeping at all when he arrived! But we were patient and fed him and he got comfortable being snuggled and was lulled into sleep. Here’s his sneak peek! I can’t wait to see more.

I love doing newborn sessions. First of all, it is such a joy to create beautiful photos that will last long past the memories. Second of all, I love meeting everyone’s little newborns. I mean who doesn’t love these squishy, new, little  beings?! Third, it is so fun to provide a space for new parents to celebrate their little one, relax and reminisce on the first week or so of their child’s life. Its fun for me too to remember all the things I was thinking and feeling when Jemima was just a couple weeks old. Finally, I love seeing folks love on their new child- working together to clean that crazy diaper, giving the baby all the kisses and just beaming at every yawn, smile and twitch. Its like witnessing a triumph of what it means to be human.
